Government to help ease mobility of people with disabilities

The Minister for Kampala Beti Kamya has pledged to help People with Disabilities handle challenges they face in accessing buildings and movement.

The Minister for Kampala Beti Kamya has pledged to help People with Disabilities handle challenges they face in accessing buildings and movement. She pledged to push for the tax waivers on equipment to aid mobility and addressing challenges of accessing buildings and public transport.She made the promise on Sunday at Nakivubo Blue Primary School in Kampala, where over 6000 pairs of walking sticks and crutches were distributed to People with Disabilities. Two NGOs, Rena Community Development Association and Crutches for Africa provided the equipment to people with disabilities from within Kampala, Wakiso and Kiboga.
