Ex URSB Registrar, Maudah Atuzarirwe, Dies in Road Accident

The former Head of Registry at Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), Maudah Atuzarirwe, has died in a fatal road accident along Kampala-Masaka highway.

The shocking incident occurred early Sunday morning in Rwengo as Maudah travelled from Bushenyi to Kampala.

The cause of the accident remains unclear.

The car in which she was traveling overturned, inflicting severe injuries on the occupants including her brother.

Eyewitnesses said suspected thugs robbed personal items from the ill-fated car.

Police officials told ChimpReports a note would be issued later today in relation to the accident.

A staunch catholic, Maudah was today expected to act as the Master of Ceremonies of the monthly Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (AMDA) Mass at Kitante Primary School.

The main celebrant of the function is Msgr. John K Barugahare.

Several friends took to social media platforms to express their condolences, describing her as social, amiable and loving.

A one Shantal posted on her Facebook wall: “It’s really so sad… It’s heartbreaking. How do I question God? How!! May God forgive your soul and allow it rest in paradise Mauda.”

Maureen Rugyendo described Maudah as a “hardworking woman, a go getter, a networker, an entrepreneur, a friend to all, a great mother, a farmer, an advisor…”

The deceased served as a State Attorney at the Registrar Generals office, Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and also was a Director of Business Registration until 2012.

Maudah is survived by three children.
